How do I identify myself with sign-me (D-Trust identification service)?

The exclusive co-operation between FP Sign and the sign-me identification service of D-Trust GmbH (a company of the Bundesdruckerei Group) makes it particularly easy for you as an FP Sign user to use the qualified electronic signature with a personal certificate.

By linking your FP Sign account with a sign-me account, you can use personalised qualified signatures in your familiar FP Sign environment. Note: Once both accounts have been linked, all sign-me functions are billed exclusively via FP Sign. You no longer need to purchase separate sign-me Coins. This also applies if you want to cover the costs for partners.

Identification with sign-me via your FP Sign account

Log in to FP Sign at https://app.fp-sign.com.
Click on at the top right.
In your profile at the bottom of the page, click on Note: If you continue your registration from FP Sign, you do not need sign-me Coins for your identification.
Your details are already pre-filled under Apply for a new sign-me account. Make sure that your first name and surname are identical to the data on your ID card. Check that your mobile phone number is correct.
Choose a password for your sign-me account. Pay attention to the password requirements described.
Click on Register now.
Make sure you have photo ID, a camera and enough time for the identification procedure and click on Start identification.
Log in to the sign-me portal with your e-mail address, accept the terms and conditions and start the identification process.
The agent will guide you through the entire identification process.
Confirm the sign-me account setup in your e-mail inbox.

You can now sign documents with the qualified remote signature from sign-me.

Identification with sign-me as recipient

FP Sign will send you an e-mail with the signature request. Please follow the link contained in the e-mail.
Click on Register now directly from the document enquiry.
You will be directed to the sign-me registration process. FP Sign will enter the necessary personal data.
Click on Start identification.
You will be guided through the Video-Ident process.
Once the one-time identification has been completed, sign-me will send you an e-mail. Please follow the link contained in the e-mail.

Once the one-off identification has been completed, you are automatically returned to the document to be signed. You can apply your QES and countersign the document.

Ideally, use your tablet or smartphone for identification.
Follow the steps of the registration process until you are logged in to sign-me.
Then scan the QR code in the application with your camera, download the app, open it and follow the instructions. The agent will guide you through the entire process.
Log in to sign-me again and confirm the terms and conditions, privacy policy and PKI user information. Click Next twice. You can now sign with a qualified signature.

One-time identification via online ID function (EID)

To identify yourself using the online ID function, you will need the ID app provided free of charge by the federal government, an NFC-enabled smartphone or card reader, your valid ID card with the online ID function activated and the 6-digit PIN.

Note:

Make sure in advance that you have access to the AusweisApp and your ePersonal ID card by starting the application before registering and checking whether you can read out the ID card data using your PIN.
The eID procedure is currently only available directly via the sign-me portal.
We recommend using your smartphone for identification.
The Safari browser is not supported.

This is how it works:

Open sign-me on the browser of the smartphone
OR
Open sign-me on the browser of your PC with coupling to the smartphone as a card reader in the ID card app
OR
Open sign-me on the browser of your PC with coupling of a card reader in the ID card app
Register with sign-me
Confirm the registration by the received mail
Log in to sign-me and open the menu item Identification
Now follow the instructions on the screen
